Chill out on the Oklahoma River this Summer

New this season, Oklahoma River Cruise tickets can be purchased through the Token Transit mobile app, which means you don’t have to stand in the hot sun for one more moment to purchase tickets at the Regatta Park Landing boathouse.

Temperatures have climbed well into the 90s and you break into a sweat just thinking about walking from your front door or office building to your car. It’s July in Oklahoma. Like many people this time of year, you may lack motivation to get outside and enjoy our great city. If you can manage the walk from your door to your vehicle and another short walk from your car to one of four landings, Oklahoma River Cruises is a perfect way to get around while enjoying the sights of summer with the comforts of fall or spring. What’s even better is there’s a new way to conveniently purchase tickets from your mobile phone.

New this season, Oklahoma River Cruise tickets can be purchased through the Token Transit mobile app, which means you don’t have to stand in the hot sun for one more moment to purchase tickets at the Regatta Park Landing boathouse. Those of you who don’t mind hanging out in the sun can still purchase tickets at a landing or at the Regatta Park Landing boathouse, located at 701 S. Lincoln Blvd – both of which require you to be outside for just a hot Oklahoma minute.

To purchase a day pass, open the Token Transit app, select “Buy Passes,” then select Oklahoma River Cruises under zone type. When it’s time to board, just show the onboard staff your ticket on your phone. Day passes are $12 per person for adults, $6 per person for seniors and children ages 7-17. Children 6 and under are free. You can enjoy unlimited rides on the date of purchase.

A river cruise is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy the scenic riverbank of the Oklahoma River this summer. Next time you’re searching for a perfect OKC vacation (or staycation!) activity, stay cool on the Oklahoma River.
