EMBARK Offers Weekend Bus Service to Oklahoma State Fair

Fairgoers who live or are staying in downtown can easily park and ride from the Oklahoma City Convention Center or connect with the weekend fair service via bus or streetcar at EMBARK’s downtown Transit Center.

EMBARK will offer a special transportation service on weekends during the 2022 Oklahoma State Fair to connect downtown Oklahoma City with the state fairgrounds. Fairgoers who live or are staying in downtown can easily park and ride from the Oklahoma City Convention Center or connect with the weekend fair service via bus or streetcar at EMBARK’s downtown Transit Center. The fair draws about 900,000 visitors from communities across Oklahoma and beyond each year.

A bus will run from the convention center to the state fairgrounds and back, with an intermediate stop at the Transit Center at 421 N.W. 4th St. The service will operate every 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on the following days during the state fair:

  • Saturday, Sept. 17
  • Sunday, Sept. 18
  • Saturday, Sept. 24
  • Sunday, Sept. 25

A bus will depart from the southwest side of the Convention Center, at the corner of S.W. 6th St. and Robinson Ave., and drop customers off near Gates 3 and 4 at the state fairgrounds, on General Pershing Blvd. The last bus will depart the fairgrounds at 11:30 p.m. to arrive at the convention center at midnight.

The service is open to the public and only regular fare to ride. Single trips are $1.75 with 24-hour passes available for $4. Customers can purchase fares and passes on the Token Transit mobile app or onboard with exact change. Children age six and under ride free with an adult. Reduced fare is available for senior adults age 65 and older, persons on Medicare, persons with a qualifying disability, and youth ages 7-17.Paid parking is available at the Convention Center Parking Garage and the Scissortail Park surface lot for $10 per day.

In addition to the special service, EMBARK's bus routes 9 and 38 serve the fairgrounds regularly during weekdays and limited weekend hours.
